From October 11th to 13th, 2024, the "CCF Enters Sichuan Normal University and 2024 Academic Forum on Computer Applications, Vision, and Algorithms" was successfully held in the beautiful city of Chengdu, Sichuan, hosted by the Chinese Computer Society (CCF), organized by CCF Chengdu Branch and the School of Computer Science at Sichuan Normal University, and co organized by the AEIC Academic Exchange Center. This academic feast, which gathered numerous top experts and energetic young students, brought a wonderful exchange of ideas and cutting-edge displays to the fields of computer applications, vision, and algorithms. A total of 260 people participated in this forum both online and offline. Professor Liu Tang, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science at Sichuan Normal University, served as the Executive Chairman of this forum.
Before the official start of the conference, Xiang Maofu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer Science at Sichuan Normal University, delivered a speech, setting the tone for the successful convening of the conference.
Next, Professor Li Tianrui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Southwest Jiaotong University and Chairman of CCF Chengdu Branch, introduced CCF related culture, injecting new vitality into the conference.
In the formal sharing session of the report, Professor Li Tianrui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Southwest Jiaotong University and Chairman of CCF Chengdu Branch, gave a presentation titled "Application Cases of Intelligent Technology for Sustainable Cities", sharing how intelligent technology can help cities move towards a new path of sustainable development.
Subsequently, Professor Zhu Yanmin, a young Changjiang Scholar from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a top young talent from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, delved into the topic of "user preference modeling methods and research progress under cross domain multi-source data fusion", leading the attendees to appreciate the charm and challenges of data fusion.
Later, Dong Zhicheng, vice president of the School of Information Science and Technology of Xizang University and chief professor of the discipline, took "distributed collaborative privacy computing and GPU computing architecture optimization design" as the theme, revealed the cutting-edge breakthrough and technological innovation in the field of privacy computing, and won high praise from the participants.
At the same time, the conference also received support and attendance from numerous heavyweight guests. They include Professor Wu Xi from Chengdu University of Information Science and Technology, Professor Yang Xin, Secretary General of CCF Chengdu Branch, Professor Zhang Le, Vice Chairman of CCF Chengdu Branch, Mr. Xu Zhen, Vice Chairman of CCF Chengdu Branch, Professor Wu Jiamin, Executive Committee Member of CCF Chengdu Branch, Ms. Hongyan, Supervisor of CCF Chengdu Branch, Ms. Wang Sihan, Director of CCF Southwest Office, Ms. Tang Wanru from CCF Secretariat, Professor Liu Tao from Southwest University for Nationalities, and Professor Xu Wenzheng from Sichuan University.
The afternoon venue was equally exciting, with students from Beijing Jiaotong University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Guizhou University presenting stunning reports showcasing their innovative thinking and exploratory achievements on the path of scientific research. Their performance not only demonstrated the potential of the emerging forces, but also injected unlimited academic vitality into the experts and scholars present. In the lively interactive Q&A session, the exchange of ideas between the audience and the stage sparked new research inspirations and opportunities for collaboration.
The successful hosting of the "CCF Enters Sichuan Normal University and 2024 Academic Forum on Computer Applications, Vision, and Algorithms" not only brought abundant academic knowledge to the participants, but also built a bridge for academic exchange among researchers, providing a platform for promoting interaction and cooperation in different research fields.
